Looks like you've mixed the fus7a and colloquial pronunciations with that one Michael.

That should be daa'iman the 'y' is there in colloquial, but then the alef and hamza are not.

Well let me clarify that the Egyptian flag in my signature is misleading, as I'm sticking to pure fusḥa for now. But yeah I think I interpreted what was supposed to be dāʔiman as dāyʔman.. :oops:

When it's pronounced colloquially, دائماً is sometimes spelled differently to reflect the colloquial pronunciation as دايماً - at least that's what I've seen in written Lebanese Arabic, though I think it may be the same in other dialects.
Please correct my mistakes in any language.
