Telling your age in Pashto

Hi
When telling someone how old you are in Pashto do you use the equivalent of the verb "to be" as in 'I am forty eight years old' or the verb to have as in 'I have forty eight year'

Yes. We use the verb "to be." How old are you is:

tsu kalan yaast?
(how old are you?)

ze 21(yaw wisht) kalen yam.
(I am 21)
yaast is the formal "you are" and yam is "I am."
