Lol! Well it depends every family is different. My familys wedding is very bug and loud. The men and women party in sepreate rooms. and we eat ALOT! and the brides dress is either red or white. But ither then this we do all the same like Muslim customs.

Thanks for the informative post. I must however say that what you mentioned is typical of all Afghan(istani)s. Not, just Pashtuns. Tajiks (Persian speakers of Afghanistan) are also so. I have met Afghan people of different ethnic groups and they all do their best to abide by the code you mentioned (one especially hears much about «ghayrat»). So, I would call it an Afghan(istani) culture, rather than exclusively Pashtun.
