I've just recently added a Telugu page on my website, with lots of useful websites gathered.

Here's a Primer in Telugu characters, a Peace Corps Telugu textbook and another e-book An Introduction to Spoken Telugu.

And Telugu4Kids is a fun site, with lots of videos of stories, rhymes and vocabulary.

Hi all,

I've been in touch with the editors of Telugu literary webzine Eemaata:

http://www.eemaata.com/em/intro-eemaata

I'm hoping to have one of my short stories translated into Telugu as they said they'd be interested in considering it for publication, but they don't do any translation themselves. My 100 word story 'The Gondolier' has been translated into 20 languages so far so I'm looking for someone who might be able to translate into Telugu. Can anyone help?

Thanks!

The hook of this song is in Telugu, sounds really nice. I really need to learn a Dravidian language!

Hey guys I have question about Telugu. So I talk alot with telugu and Tamil speakers. When I ask a Tamil speaker is Tamil r Telugu harder they say Telugu. But when I ask a Telugu speaker they always say Tamil is harder. Im wondering if anyone has studied both and could tell lingusictuically which of the two is harder? Im not going to actively learn Telugu Im just interesed. Im been searching for grammar and whatnot but can't seem to find anything at all on it. I also heard if a tamil speaker listens closely they can understand telugu however i dont think thats true.

Hi Meera

Tamil has less number of characters to learn !! however its consonants represent more sounds
to make it complex to understand ... where as Telugu has more number of characters to make
it difficult to learn ; as a native speaker of Telugu, I feel learning Tamil is difficult as I can't
easily understand Tamil script ...

if you have Tamil & Telugu unicode fonts installed then I can add a couple of examples ...

Hello GDJ
I was wondering if your 100 word story is available in English.. I could see it in Esperanto
and other languages but not in English . Note : I am not an expert in translation ; if you
need the translation in to Telugu, other Indian Languages then I'll try to contact relevant
experts - and it could be a paid work ( completely transparent - I just volunteer )

Here is the same song in Telugu and Tamil.
(Telugu sounds nice, but I thinkTelugu and Kannada alphabets just can't compare to the beauty of
Tamilian and Malayali scripts).

so, here's the song: Feel my Love

Here's a great resource: http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Appendix: ... _languages I've personally found the list to be of great use.

The Malayalam and Kannada lists aren't finished. Contributions would be awesome!
