I always assumed the name of Azerbaijan was borrowed from Arabic.

And I'd imagine that it's spelled the same as Persian/Urdu as well. Thanks for the tip.
Another 'lesson' will be posted in a few days.

Thanks. But I couldn't get any of those to work.
I am in the US. Do they only broadcast at certain times?

Grammar:
Personal Pronouns:

SingularPlural
زهIمونږWe
تهYouتاسیYou
دیHeدویThey
داShe

دا is also used as a general demonstrative pronoun (i.e. "it is")
تاسی can also be used in the 2nd person singular/plural as a polite form of 'you'
For general/impersonal pronouns use:
سړیmanخلکpeople

The Verb "to be":

SingularPlural
يم(I) amيو(we) are
یٔې(you) areیٔئ / ياست(you) are
دئ(he) isدی(they) are
ده(she) is

These forms require the personal pronoun.
Sometimes the third person masc. form of 'to be' and the negative particle are written together as: ندئ = he is not
Ex.
ره هندی یم -- I am Hindi/Indian

Negation:
To negate a sentence use نه right before the verb (نه receives the stress).
یه = no
Exږ
یه ، زه انګریز نه یم -- No I am not English.

Thanks again. I suspected that the language in the textbook would be a little different then the words used now-a-days seeing as the text is from the 80's (I believe).

My textbook from CeLCAR should be coming any day now!

There is also a Newspaper Reader from Dunwoody Press which I'm considering getting. One thing at a time though.
