hula song

Postby decker » 2015-09-26, 18:45

Hello,

I would like to know which language this song is in:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hjfEKrViOM

Someone told me Tokelauan but he wasn't 100% sure.

Also, if anyone has the lyrics, that would be greatly appreciated. :yep:

regards,

decker

Hello, I'm no expert but I don't think this is Tokelauan, I clearly hear some r while Tokelauan has l instead.
From what I've found on google, Avaiki might be a song from Cook Islands.

Hey man, thanks for the input.
Well, I have googled for songs called avaiki, too.
There are some from the Cook Islands showing up, but they seem to be different songs.
Cook islanders seem to be quite prolific song makers though, so you're probably right.

thanks alot
