You have a glottal stop at the beginning of every word! (Well, that's what I hear). Just watch those glottal stops, but I think you did pretty well.

I don't think he's been around lately.

Aloha kāua,

You did pretty well. There were glottal stops at the beginning of words that shouldn't have been there, and the accent should fall on the second to the last syllable. Here's what it sounds like when I read it. Ke Ala Nuʻukia o Kahuawaiola

Aloha kman1,

I listened to some of your recording. I really like that you take your learning of Hawaiian quite seriously.

Whilst we can offer written advice (although I am the least able to advise on anything) you should consider seeking out speakers of Hawaiian to converse with over Skype. That way your pronunciation, enunciation and accent will be much closer to where you want it to be. Also, you can learn more vocab and grammar that way. In fact, this advice applies to any language learner really (though, I wish I could have listened to Mamo's reading before it was removed).

E Mamo, ke ho'ohana ala oe i ka skype? 'A'ole e hiki ia'u ke ho'ohana i ka kahako i ka lolouila e ho'ohana ana au ma ka hana.

I think its time I made an effort to master Hawaiian :yep:

I don't think I had quite enough interest last time it's hard to really put priorities right when the deicison is based on randomly flipping threw a book of languages but I learned a-lot from doing that.

Thanks Ariki,

I haven't been able to practice any language like I want to as of late but I hope to get back on track next year if I have time. I always hope Mamo re-joins us here and that you master Hawaiian as well. :)

Do you have skype? I can at least help with pronounciation :) Grammar wise I would only be able to guess - kahihi'o would need to verify.
