Words of encouragement

Postby lyric » 2007-06-06, 14:41

Hello Hawaiian speakers,

Your help is needed to complete the list of words of encouragement: http://home.unilang.org/wiki3/index.php ... ouragement

i.e. words you say to yourself or others when trying to accomplish a hard task,
like for example learning a new language .

Examples: "You can make it.", "Go-ahead! ", "Go!"

How do you say in Hawaiian?

(When possible in original script and English transcript)

Thanks,
Lyric

Hello,

surprisingly we still have no Hawaiian words of encouragement in the wiki?

Can I say "wiki, wiki" to encourage someone?

Cheers,

Hello Mamo,

Thanks a lot for all your very figurative words.
I like them very much.

Do you also have words for "cheerleading" (cheers, chants, yells, shouts)?

Cheers :D,
Lyric
