Teena Koe e Riki

RE: Kei te pirangi ahau ki te ako te reo maori.

I'm not sure where to start, I have just registered today. I was a Student of Te kura Motuhake O Te Ataarangi O Te Wairoa for 2 years about 2001. Completed both years with basic reo. I wish to continue to further te reo, at the moment I am teaching a sister here in Sydney Australia, and I know I need to learn more so to continue on. I have moved to Australia here now going on 2 years, and it is very hard to find any maori learning community, or to even speak to maori here. They are very shy, I guess, the kia ora frightens them. I don't know but I just carry on finding ways to continue my culture on. I'd be so greatful as to start lessons somewhere here, I can't find where to at the moment.

Kia ora, ka kite ano.

In reply to what you have written. There is another thread up at the top (I have to add more on to it) called Macrons and Te Reo Learning Resources. These links will help with reading and listening to te reo - the speaking part is something that has to be done in real life. I will add more links to it tomorrow.

Nō reira, mātakitaki mai! Watch this space!

Hei kona mai,
