Well, quite simply because this game is not meant to be
just for Latin (be it in the Latin sub-forum or not).
A knowledge of Latin was never a requirement I made on the games. Some people might know Latin, some may not. Basically, I wanted the games to be as accessible to
anyone interested in
any ancient/classical/dead language(s) as possible.
The only reason it's in this part of the forum really is because it was the best place to put it IMO. I thought it would get lost too easily in the "Other languages" section, and there are no other ancient/classical/dead language sub-forums, so here it is.
I'm still holding out hope a general ancient/classical/dead languages sub-forum will be created. Why should we only have a Latin forum? As cool as Latin is.And I'm not sure what you mean by the thing about
q and
r. If anything this opens up the games to
more letters (depending on the language used), as I explained in the alphabet game. The word game here doesn't matter what letters you use.
Hope that clears things up.
