Why not have another NAIL word game, eh?
This one is exactly like this game.
The only exception is that I will allow you to skip a letter if the next English letter is not in the language you post; you can also add a letter that's not in the English alphabet, just try to keep the order of the alphabet. Syllabaries (like the Cherokee or Inuktitut) are allowed too. I'm assuming that most of you are only learning one NA language (if even), hence me doing this.

I'll start. Let's see if this gets off the ground like the word association game.

We have our first test subject! Er, I mean contestant. :para:

Hey, that way you'll learn that word! My old German professor always said to write the words a bloody hell of a lot to remember them. You've got 74 more times.

Keep the Cherokee up and my interest in Iroquois will take over!
I'm already eying some Oneida. Though Cayuga has to be the coolest of them all. IMO.

gotta say, Cherokee syllabary looks pretty awesome, although I'm pretty sure it's quite hard to read.

Well, sure. For us Latin users it would require a bit of work, but you'd get it down sooner then you think.

What NA languages are you interested in LackofFuel? I remember you saying Eskimo-Aleut, but any others? Just curious.

Apart from Kalaallisut and Yup'ik I was trying to learn Cherokee for a while, but as there is impossible to get a book with cherokee grammar around here, I gave up. Nevertheless, I find all of NAI languages impressive for their complex and "flexible" grammar.

There's the book Beginning Cherokee by Holmes and Sharp that's available through Amazon (France/Germany). Not sure if they ship to Slovenia, but I can't imagine they wouldn't. I have it and it's quite good.
There where some lessons online at http://www.cherokeelessons.com that looked promising, but it appears the site is down right now.

I'm quite interested in Cherokee myself, but not as much as the Northern Iroquoian languages spoken originally in my state.

I don't really know any other Iroquoian languages. But I'll take a look at your book and maybe, I will purchase it some time in the future. Thanks, though. :)

I don't really know many Iroquoian languages well myself. I know a little Mohawk, and have looked over some Oneida, Cayuga, Seneca, and Cherokee.

Oh, and I fixed the Micmac flag for you. The code is 'mic.'

You know mohawk? That's cool. I find Mohawk language quite poetic as it sounds nice to my ears. I actually thought about learning it, but I decided to go with Cherokee, because it's a lot easier (at least from my point of view :P).
Oh, and thank you for your correction. :)
