I thought there was something I was forgetting to do.

Here are those scans if you’re still interested:
Scan0001.jpg

This is pretty typical of Part One, which is kind of a mini phrase book (about 32 pages long, finishing with a three page glossary)

Scan0002.jpg

Scan0003.jpg

And this is pretty typical of the rest of the book. There aren't any dialogues or anything like that throughout the rest of the book. Just grammar notes, example sentences/words and word lists at the end of each of the other two sections.

Hope that helps.

Hmm, I'll probably pass on that, then. And I think I'm more into Lushootseed anyways. :D Sorry for making you go through the trouble, but thanks for the help!

Oh yeah, I've seen that before! Never found it all that useful for actually trying to learn a language though. :hmm:

And I just realized that I never posted the resources that I've been using! I think I'll actually point out what I've been using for Michif here, because...well, for one thing, I just realized that it is technically a NAIL (it's certainly indigenous to North America, even if the French vocabulary isn't really ), and for another, it's useful for learning some Cree!

www.learnmichif.com

And now, for Lnuismk/"Micmac"/whatever. A great website for a first start is this (having gone through those lessons, I'm trying to also learn/review vocabulary from some (mostly) well-known English songs translated into this language on another part of the same website).

There's also Maillard's grammar in French, the first grammar ever made for this language:
http://books.google.com/books?id=wt1EAA ... &q&f=false

A wiki (using a different orthography from the First Nation Help website, but still useful):
http://wiki.migmaq.org/index.php?title=Main_Page

And the YouTube channels of John Nick Jeddore and MsNativeWarrior, both of whom teach words in this language. :)

I'll be sure to go through and add any appropriate links to the master list.

Oh cool, I hadn't seen that list before! If you don't mind, I'd like to try to help (or start helping) you with it. :)

I think it would make sense to list the author of this one as "Goff, Rebecca." What do you think? :)

As for the Michif resource, if you decide to include that one in the same format as you've included the others, that would be:

Ward, Jeff and Moran, Ry - LearnMichif.com [online]

And for the other language :P Note: I didn't include the Google Books link for Maillard, because I'm not sure how you'd format that. (Also, I'm not sure how you'd do YouTube channels if you have any there, so I didn't include those, either).

4. ___ - Aboriginal Language Initiative [online]
5. Maillard, Antoine - Grammaire de la langue mikmaque.
6. ___ - Mi'gmaq Language Wiki [online]

For books, I usually include only those that can be bought online. So you (or I for that matter) would have to find out who sells it and provide a link. I don't usually link to Google books unless it's freely available as an eBook on there and it's not elsewhere. Otherwise it would have to be the publisher's website or a web-store. I suppose I didn't make it clear what I was looking for in the links or what I consider a good resource.

Anyway, thanks, I'll add the stuff you formatted into the list, with the exception of the grammar (until we can get a link for it). You really didn't have to go as far as formatting it like that, but it's greatly appreciated!

I'll also check out the YouTube link and see what I want to do with it.

Oh, OK, thanks. :) (Btw, there are actually two YouTube links up there. ;) But anyway ).

I found a PDF of the Maillard grammar as well from archive.org: https://archive.org/download/grammaired ... 00mail.pdf. It's also available on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Grammar-Language- ... roduct_top. I'm kind of surprised; this grammar seems to be so widely available!

Considering the age of the book in question, I think the Web Archive (or Google Books for that matter) link will suffice. I forgot the mention that if it's an older book and it's no longer copyright protected, it's fine with Google Books as well.

I'm not sure if I ever posted this, but here are some resources (mostly reference grammars) for some languages spoken in Ontario Canada (mostly Iroquoian, Ojibwe, Cree, and Deleware):
http://www.edu.gov.on.ca/eng/curriculum ... elang.html

I personally find the Iroquoian grammar extremely helpful.

And here's a link the the Language Conservancy web-store:
http://stores.languagepress.com/
They have a shit ton of materials for many plains languages (not just Siouan either!). Including Lakota and Crow, both of which I'm eyeing.

Here is a website that is for a language project for the Onondaga:
https://onodagega.com/

They say that they are working on a teaching grammar (no idea when it will be released) and other resources. Hope for the future!

This might be nitpicking, but...in the resource list, it should be Mikmaq, not Miqmak. :)
