Te Reo Māori is also experiencing an explosive growth in numbers of people who can speak it.

I recently completed my first census (ever) in te reo Māori 8)

Three forms are available for the census - English, Māori - English, and Māori. The Māori only census forms are only available in the Far North and Ngāi Tūhoe area of the East Coast (Ngā Puhi and Ngāi Tūhoe are the only two iwi not to have the language decrease to worrying levels hence the Māori only forms are only available in their areas). I always request government services (and public services in general) in te reo Māori 8)
Linguicide IS genocide. :)

He ingoa ōpaki a Riki; he ingoa ōkawa a Ariki.

Riki is an informal name; Ariki is a formal name.
