Oh awesome!!!

Just to update this, we've got 9 members and we're having our first meet up in about a month, so it should be fun. We should snag at least a few of those 9 people. 8-)

I have a few issues of a manga with the same name, but it's probably not the one you're thinking of. :P You're probably thinking of this Tanaka-kun, right?

I don't remember if you posted this here, but do you watch the Japanese stuff with subtitles? If so, in Japanese or English? (I presume your Hindi is good enough that you can watch it all in Hindi without subs and understand it fully?)

In Japanese I watch with English subtitles, in Hindi I don't use subtitles.

I'm dropping French for the summer. I might add Korean but I'm not too serious with it. Just kind of learning the script and basic phrases and going through Korean from Zero.

I learned hiragana in 2 days but already forgot most of it. I learned the Korean script in a day and can use it to this day. It's super easy to read. :)

[flag=]hi[/flag]I don't if I mentioned it before but a couple of months ago I got the Beginning Hindi Textbook. It is a gigantic textbook and around six hundred pages (there is also an Urdu one which I am planning on getting after finishing the Hindi one). I have a had a rough couple of months with being sick and dealing with all my classes so now finally I am having the time to go through it. This book so far is fantastic and unlike other resources I have used for Hindi it feels like an actual textbook! if you are seriously interested in Hindi and can afford it I highly recommend this book. So it starts with just the sounds, and groups them up. So it first introduces you with the sounds that are similar to English and then has the audio give example of these sounds used in some words. And then it has you listen to more words and then transcribe them. These were really excellent exercises and I haven't seen these kind in a Hindi text before. It kind of reminded me of Alif Baa Taa. The next chapter I worked through was the script and it had the same sort of exercises and they were really fun. The book also teaches stroke order which is great! The script lessons have tons of audio and and dictation exercises, so I have pretty much been working through them. The first couple of chapters are all introductions and basic sentences, this is where I'm at now, It is is a lot of review but I'm going through it anyway in case I miss any vocabulary :P

[flag=]ja[/flag] I am working through my Kanji workbook. For Japanese basically all I have been is Kanji, Kanji, Kanji and listening to Japanese Pod 101 while I walk my dog.

[flag=]ko[/flag] I recently got Korean from Zero and I love it so far. I should note like I said before I'm not seriously learning Korean, I'm just having fun with it. So right now I am trying to learn the script but it's going slow. I'm still a little confused on how ieung works (ㅇ) and I still get mixed up over the order I am supposed to write the Korean vowels and consonants in. The letters I learned this week are:
ㄱ ㄴ ㄷ ㄹ ㅁ

ㅏ ㅓ ㅗ ㅜ ㅐ

ㅂ ㅈ ㅇ ㅊ
