I'm making a new topic for 2016. My goal is to learn more vocabulary and grammar both in Greek and French.
[flag=]el[/flag] Greek
My current level: C1 (grammar), A2 (vocabulary)
I want to get up to: C2 (grammar), at least B1 (vocabulary)
I would like to brush up on both vocabulary and grammar, but especially on vocabulary, because my vocabulary is poorer than my grammar knowledge. I'll do this by writing texts, translating longer sentences, listening to music, reading books, newspapers and news sites in Greek on a daily basis.
I'll use those books and resources:
Teach Yourself Complete Greek (2010 edition)
Modern Yunanca (2009 edition)
FSI Greek Basic Course (Volumes I, II and III)
* I'll focus on Standard Greek that is spoken in Greece, but I will also try to learn some phrases in other Greek dialects like [flag=]el-CY[/flag] Cypriot Greek, [flag=]pnt-TR[/flag] Pontic Greek (which is a dialect spoken in my country) and [flag=]el-IT[/flag] Griko.
** I'll also try to understand texts written in [flag=]el_KA[/flag] Katharevousa by reading old Greek grammars.
*** Maybe I'll try to learn [flag=]grc[/flag] Ancient Greek as well. I can understand some words in Ancient Greek but I suck when it comes to syntax.
