This (partial) TAC is actually more or less of a preview for what I want to continue (or not) next year. I already have most of my languages for next year picked out, but I wanted to see how feasible some of these languages would be. Not all of them are on my list for next year; in fact, only one is. This is pretty much my wanderlust TAC. My goals are not too ambitious, as these languages are quite difficult.
[flag=]mt[/flag] Maltese
I have been fascinated with Maltese for a long time. It's the only Semitic language written in the Latin script. (It also actually has vowels written in!) Also, I love the way it looks in writing. (Where else can you find a q and an x together!?)
Resources: I will mainly be using Memrise for this. If anyone else has any good (cheap) resources, let me know.
Goals: I would like to be A2 in Maltese by the end of the year.
[flag=]kl[/flag] Greenlandic
I have been wanderlusting for Greenlandic recently. Enough said.
Resources: Memrise.
Goals: A1 by the end of the year.
[flag=]th[/flag] Thai
This one is a little different. I was considering doing Thai for next year's TAC, but eventually decided against it.
Resources: Teach Yourself Thai, Memrise, various websites that I have found.
Goals: Be able to recognize and read all Thai consonants (with classes), vowels, and diphthongs. Reach A1 by the end of the year.
[flag=]sq[/flag] Albanian
Another wanderlust...
Resources:Colloquial Albanian, a dictionary, Memrise
Goals: A1 or A2, not completely sure yet.
[flag=]iu[/flag] Inuktitut
Resources: Memrise, Tusaalanga online course
Goals: Be able to read the Inuktitut syllabary, and also possibly reach A1.
Thanks for any help you might give!
