Broken Translation Game 11

Postby ctoncc » 2009-05-01, 7:00

Anyone interested in doing another one?
I'll have some free time again around mid-May so I'd like to start it around then.
This game requires you to have a reasonable amount of knowledge of the language you want to translate into or out of so that you can finish it in 5 days.

The concept:

I send out a short text to someone, they translate it from the original language to another language. It then gets passed on to me AND to the next person in the chain who translates it into another language and so on.

For example:
The original text in English gets sent to Person A - Person A translates it to French and then sends the French text to me and to Person B, who translates it from French into Turkish - Person B sends the Turkish text to me and to Person C who translates it from Turkish to Russian etc.

English - French (Person A) - Turkish (Person B) - Russian (Person C)

You must finish the translation within 5 days of receiving it. Also, if it is your turn and you don't think you will be able to complete the translation in time please let me know as early as possible so the game doesn't get stuck for a long time.

Please forward the translation on to the next person in the chain as well as to me - it helps to move the game along - especially because of the differences in time zones.

As long as we get enough participants I'll set up teams again.

Estimated Game Start Date: May 14th

Not necessarily, that's the FUBAR one :) this one is the original one and there is no such rule.
