I just find it hard to have motivation for some of the langauges I want to learn. Take Mandarin for instance. The best movies are in Cantonese. I mean all the movies in Mandarin I've seen were some Song or Tang dynasty historical stuff. Not my cup of tea, really.

The only exception I can think of is the Jackie Chan in Japan movie. That one was great.

In Turkish I saw this sci-fi movie called GORA with references to Star Wars, Matrix and the fifth element. But I don't know any authors or directors or any interesting culture in Turkish. I just like the language.

If you like horror films, you really should watch Baskin.

Je sais assez bien la langue française, particulièrement à l'écriture. Tout le monde connaissent ici que je ne l'aime pas... je la deteste.

I don't really "speak" French, but i have a pretty good understanding of it and I always get new vocab and grammar into my knowledge because my mom's cousin in Quebec posts stuff in french all the time and she always gets my help with it. So ideally i shouldn't have a good knowledge of it anymore, but my mom inadvertently makes me.

I never got to a good level in it, but when i hated Spanish, I still decided to learn it for some reason: "torture yourself with a language you hate." THANK GOD i didnt know i hated Tibetan at that point. (I no longer hate spanish, not because i tried learning it and realized it was pretty, but i dunno actually. It's not because it's pretty, it certainly is still not that great in many of its accents)

There's a virtual keyboard just below the box where you type a post out. Can you access that on your tablet?

Yeah, it was added in like...probably at least a year ago. Easy to miss, though, especially on a phone or tablet or something, I guess.
