Arabic could be really interesting and I'll take a look once it comes out. :D Personally, I'd be more interested in Persian, but oh well. At this point I'm really waiting for Russian and Hungarian to hatch and I will probably return to Duolingo to practise them there.

I'm so happy I took the Spanish course on Duolingo. I finished it after four months and a half. It taught me a lot and most importantly Duolingo gave me the passion for Spanish and other languages:)

Overall Duo is a nice and FREE start on your language learning road. You can definitely reach A2/B1 level!

Interested in linguistics and conlangs:)

I have no idea when they're finally going to release Russian. Still waiting for them to do that.

...and I log in yesterday for the first time in ages and decide to tap into the Scandinavian languages. Each language seems to have pretty simple basics thus far.

Yep, it really is there, and it keeps saying it only has 30 learners.

Tbh, I'm just waiting for them to release Hindi, even though they've already confirmed that there's no way that's happening this year. :P

I really want to start the Polish course now, but I feel like I ought to finish the Russian one first.

That's an interesting choice of languages you got there.

Speaking of Duolingo: Recently, someone I know asked me about Babbel. He said he'd seen their ads on TV and wanted to know from me if it's worth signing up for it. I said that I wasn't sure and mentioned that he might want to try Duolingo first and also told him that it's free. A few days later, he came back to thank me for the tip and said that he's been using it a lot and really likes it. :)
Please correct my mistakes!

Thanks :) I had to study English and German at school and I took French as an elective. Many of my family members' native language is Pashto so I've learned a bit of it. And then I'm in love with Korean and the Slavic languages (mostly Russian & Polish), so I study them occasionally.

Just out of curiosity, have you ever seen any other Afghans on UniLang before? :)
